2 women and a kid steal cash from a medical store in Silchar

Astonishing footage surfaced on Social Media in Barak Valley. Two women with the help of a kid stole Rs 30000 cash from a medical store located at the heart of Silchar town. The alarming incident took place yesterday in Hospital Road Silchar.

Between 2 to 2:30 PM, a woman along with a kid entered Vivekananda Medicos. The CCTV footage shows that they start interacting with the shopkeeper. Soon another woman joins and the shopkeeper visits a shelf in the store. As the two women keep the shopkeeper busy the kid heads to the cash box and pockets all that he could. After doing that, he heads to the women interacting with the shopkeeper and within seconds they all walk off.

Speaking to Barak Bulletin, Tushar Saha owner of the store said that the woman complained of an eye issue and asked the shopkeeper for medicine, “He had gone to check for medicines. After they left, within the next five minutes, he realised that the cash has been stolen. He tried to chase them but they were long gone,” said Saha.

He then lodged a complaint at Silchar Sadar Police Station and the officer there said that it would be transferred to Rangirkhari Police station.

It is clear from the video that the thieves do not fear broad daylight or CCTV cameras.
