44 new COVID positive cases in Cachar; "Ambulance service under stress," administration
If the number stays the way they were at 10:00 PM, then Cachar has managed to register a 50 per cent decline compared to yesterday’s 88. As per the data released by the district health department, so far in four slots, Cachar has reported 44 COVID positive cases.
Out of them, there were a few air passengers. From Bangalore, Bagha Bazar Cachar’s, Hibjzur Reheman (22), Kamrul Islam Laskar (23), Pathar Gram, Rajnagar’s Gyasuddin Barbuiya (50), Silchar Derby Tea Estate, Omprakash (25), Ujjaingram, Nirbalighat’s Sahid Hussain Barbhuiyaa (30), Berenga’s Dildar Hussain Mazumder (25) and from Jaipur Masimpur Mil Station’s Sabir Ahmed (35).
Contact tracing continued in the district and From Police reserve, Silchar, Banusree Arjun Kanungo (33), National Highway Silchar’s Natun Saha (34), Narshingtola’s Sangeeta Nandi Mazumdar (50), Pailapool Assam Rifles’ Romshimpali (27), Avdesh Kumar (45), Sonai Road’s Pulak Chandra Dey (38), Khudiram Sarani, Tarapur’s Jharna Dey (66), Radhu Sutradhar (40), Gopal Chandra Dey (47) tested positive for COVID19.
Tarapur’s Joy Prakash Kanu (56), Partha Pratim Paul (39), Shyamananda Lane’s Abhishek Das (32), Health Care workers, SMCH’s Ramlal Nunia (33), SMCH quarter’s Anukul Singha (61), Paithimei (36) also tested positive.
There were patients with Influenza-Like Illness who tested positive for COVID19 on Thursday, but the number is fewer compared to yesterday. Masimpur’s Rakesh Ranjan (30), Kathal Road’s Dastak Burman (21), Malugram’s Biswajit Paul (36), Shivalik Park’s Alokesh Chakraborty (38) who tested positive with symptoms.
From the COVID Screening areas, Banglaghat Cachar’s Moti Rai (26) and 12 others from Jirighat tested positive on July 23.
The officials continued conducting Rapid Antigen tests and Assam Rifles’ Ram Shirpali (27), Badarghat Cachar’s Ramakanta Deb (62), Tarapur’s Pradeep Das (62), Kuwarpaar’s Gautam Akura (29) and Bijoy Krishna Chakraborty (62) whose residence is near BT College tested positive.
Media expert, district health department, Suman Choudhury informed, “Due to the rise in the number of cases in Cachar, the ambulance service is under stress. That is why, at times, there is a slight delay in transferring the patient to the COVID care centre.”
