9 more test positive in Barak Valley; 2 deboarded the flight arranged by Sonu Sood

4 COVID cases were detected from the Cachar district and 5 from Karimganj district on Thursday, according to the list of positive cases received from Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

According to the sources, two out of the 4 Cachar cases were flight passengers, who reached Silchar from Mumbai by the special Air Asia flight, booked by Filmstar Sonu Sood. The flight arrived at Silchar on Tuesday carrying 140 Barak Valley residents stranded at Mumbai.

5 cases were from Karimganj, whose SWAB samples have been tested positive at SMCH lab.
