Speeding Bolero hits an Auto; driver Sujit Das critical

38-year-old Sujit Das suffered critical injuries in a road mishap next to Das Colony. Autorickshaw driver Das was taking a U-turn right opposite Matri Bhawan community hall when a speeding Bolero hit the auto and ran away towards Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

The auto rickshaw was brutally damaged in the accident, “There is a wedding in the hall and we all were there. All of a sudden we heard a loud sound and that is when we rushed out to see what happened. By the time we reached, we could only see a Bolero rushing away from the spot. Then we rushed the driver to the hospital,” says an eyewitness.

The witness mentioned that Das suffered head injuries and was in critical condition when admitted in the emergency department.

Sujit Das is a resident of Roy Colony in Hailakandi Road and his family has rushed to SMCH.
