2 drowned, four injured as a boat sinks in Katigorah

In a tragic incident, two persons drowned and four others were left injured after a boat carrying passengers capsized in Katigorah on Wednesday night.

According to sources, the deceased people have been identified as Atindra Das(38) and Anjan Das(32) residents of Siddhipur village in Katigorah.

Locals informed that SDRF men were asked to look for the bodies and after recovery the bodies were sent to SMCH for post-mortem.

Further, it is learnt that the victims were heading homewards after attending a keertan in the vicinity when the boat overturned.
