Taking part at the 3rd Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, in the national capital, the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal, has put forward a slew of demands in front of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The agenda regarding heavy industry of Barak Valley was discussed and we are hopeful, it will bore fruits in the coming days.
The request reviving the Ashok Paper Mill, HPC’s Nagaon Paper Mill and Cachar Paper Mill has been plead ahead. Sonowal, as per media reports said that resumption of these units will provide boost to the rural economy of Assam. He has requested the Prime Minister to assist in revival of the units.
