CBSE XII Barak Valley results update: Biley Roy, Amartya, Rajbir among toppers

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of Class 12 today, on 2nd May 2019. The board called up a press-meet at 1 PM before declaring the results.

A student can check the results in the official website of the board, cbseresults.nic.in. Google this time has made checking the results easier. Students can easily check their result with Google Search for CBSE Results.

The CBSE exams started on the 15th of February and ended on 4th April. The result this time was declared just within 28 days. A total of 31,14,831 candidates were registered for class 12 exam this year. Out of which 18 lakhs are boys and 12.9 lakhs are girls. But only 12,87,359 had appeared for the exams. The pass percentage this year is 83.4 slightly higher that last year’s 83.04%.

As a trend, girls once again outperformed boys. Hansika Shukla of DPS Meerut road Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora SD Public school Muzaffarnagar Uttar Pradesh scored 499 out of 500 and emerged as toppers of the board. The overall pass percentage of the board this time is 83.4%.

PM Modi also tweeted wishing the students. “Congratulations to all my young friends who have successfully passed the CBSE Class XII examinations. My best wishes to them for their endeavours. Kudos also to their parents and teachers for the valuable support.”

Biley

Along with other regions, our own land Barak-Valley is nowhere lacking behind. The students of this region have also passed with flying colours and cloud touching aggregate and percentages. As per information, the highest percentage in Silchar has been scored by a student from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Karimganj with 96.4%. Biley Roy from Don Bosco is close behind with 96%.

Amartya

They were followed by Amartya Shekar Das, of Kendra Vidyalaya Silchar. He secured 95.4% along with Rajbir Dey of Karimganj Kendra Vidyalaya, who also secured the same percentage.

A total of 302 studentsappeared from all the KVs of Barak Valley out of which 295 passed. 

Adding to this saga Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silchar’s Antara Nath of Commerce stream has secured 95% with 95 marks in Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics and ‘full marks’ in Informative Practices.

Akash Bhattacharjee, a student of Arts stream of Don Bosco School, Silchar secured 94.2%, with 99 in Economics, 95 in both History and Political Science, 97 marks in Physical Education and 85 in English.
