CBSE Results: KV Silchar's Ratnadeep Paul, Maharshi's Ruchira among toppers in Barak Valley

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results of Class 10 for the year 2019 on Monday, 6 May.

The results were up in the official website of CBSE- cbseresults.nic.in in the afternoon. Students were also provided with a chance to check their results on Google this time.

As per latest information, as many as 13 students topped the exams this time by scoring 499 out of 500. Eight from Uttar Pradesh, two from Rajasthan and one each from Haryana, Punjab and Kerela.

This year too, girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 92.45%. This year results record increased by 4.40% than the previous year; the pass percentage this time is 91.10%.

Along with other regions, students of Barak Valley too did exceptionally well in their first board exams.

According to the latest update, Kendriya Vidayala schools in Barak Valley recorded a 100% pass percentile. All 483 students appearing cleared their exams. Among the KV schools, Ratnadeep Paul bagged the first position with 98%.

In Maharishi Vidya Mandir Silchar, Ruchira Dutta Choudhury got 96% and is the highest scorer in MVM. In Don Bosco School, Monish Adhikari got 95.4%.

Students of Jawahar Navodoya Vidyalaya too scored high. 75 students appeared from JNV Cachar and everyone passed with flying colours, same is the case in Hailakandi, where the pass-percentage is 100. The pass-percentage of Guwahati region is 74.49%.

The CBSE Class 10 board exams were conducted in 6000 centres across India and abroad from 21st February to 29th March 2019. Results were declared just within 38 days after the exams. 18,27,472 students appeared for the exams this time.

PM Narendra Modi congratulated all the students by posting on Twitter. “Proud of my young friends who have successfully cleared the CBSE Class X examinations. Wishing them the very best for their journey ahead. May these young minds continue making us proud. Congratulations also to their teachers and parents!”
