SEBA declares class X results, no students from Barak Valley in merit list

Secondary education board of Assam (SEBA) announced the highly anticipated class X results today morning for both school leaving examinations and high madrasa. A total of 3,36,203 students had appeared for the examinations and 2,02,508 students passed the examination securing 60.23% pass percentage 4% higher compared to last year.

The boys this time scored higher pass percentage, 1,00,475 passed the examination securing 63.69% parcentage while 1,02,033 girls cleared the test conducted in February-March 2019, a 57.99% pass percentage.

However, a matter of pride for the girls as Lakhimpur’s Meghashree Bora with 594 out of 600 secured the top position in the merit list. Shankardev Shishu Vidya Niketan student Meghashree was followed by Jorhat’s Chinmoy Hazarika and Kamrup’s Pratyasha Medhi at second slot with 593 marks.

Not a single student from Barak Valley made it in to the top 10 merit merit list in 2019.
