Cachar Police's riding squad catches a group of armed dacoits from Hospital Road

In the early hours of today morning, a group of four dacoits armed with lethal weapons was trying break open an electronics appliances store opposite SM Dev Civil Hospital in Silchar. Cachar Police’s riding squad spotted the group and confronted them.

The four dacoits apprehended are identified as Dulal Ahmed (20yrs), Iqbal Hussain (26 yrs), Naimur Raza Choudhury (27 yrs ) and Rizu Ahmed (28 yrs). Rizu Ahmed is a resident of Monshagol while the other three are from Sadarashi area located in Karimganj. Early morning they traveled to Silchar in Maruti 800 car registered under NL 07 2022.

The Police informed us that they have recovered one 9mm pistol with 3 bullets, 2 shovels, 1 slay wrench, 1 batail, and 8 mobile phones.

The riding squad that successfully apprehended the group of dacoits had Nozrul Islam Choudhury, Basanta Singha, Virumoni Singha in it.

Police is currently interrogating the group of dacoits in Silchar Sadar Police station and investigating the matter.
