Padmavat set as Pandal, Eiffel Tower with lighting; Shillongpatty to be a major attraction this Puja

Shyamaprashad Mukherjee road popularly known as Shillongpatty is always a busy area during Durga Puja. As one of the big-budget Pujas of Barak Valley, it attracts thousands of followers. This year the Puja committee is celebrating its golden jubilee and to mark it as a grand occasion they have lined up a series of innovations.

While interacting with the media, the committee members said that this year the pandal will be a replica of the hit Hindi movie Padmavat while the lights will form a giant Eifel tower. The Goddesses idol will be a pleasant surprise for the visitors, said the members.

Apart from the decorations, the committee has announced a set of social welfare activities too. There will be voluntary blood donation camps, free health checkups and many other such activities which will help the people live a better life.
The glam-sham will be accompanied by a set of traditional pujas. The committee has earmarked Rs 20 lakh to celebrate the Golden Jubilee.
