In a shocking turn of affairs, MedOnline a pharmaceutical startup got looted in Silchar’s Ambicapatty area. Around Rs 7.5 lakh was stolen from the store’s cash counter. The shocking incident occurred last Sunday at around 1:30 PM.
The owner of the venture, that delivers medicine at doorstep, Biprajit Bhowmik informed that he was at his residence in Tarapur and the store was shut when the cash was stolen. “It was our weekly off,” he informed. Bhowmik informed that when the Police officials summoned the employees for interrogation, Sudip Nath (an employee) was missing and his phone was also not reachable which made him the prime suspect. The team of police officials then went to the employee’s house in Sonai but by then he had fled with his wife.
“Police interrogated Nath’s parents and they mentioned that he reached home and said he has cleared all his debts and now he is free,” Bhowmik informed. He added that Sudip Nath and his wife were last spotted in an auto-rickshaw heading towards Badarpur. “We suspect he is planning to move out of the town,” added Bhowmik.
