Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors' Forum receives best blood donor organization of Assam award for the 10th time
Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors’ Forum has been selected and awarded as the best blood donor organization of Assam for the 10th time.
On the occasion of ‘World AIDS Day’ today, hon’ble minister of state, Health & Family Welfare, Piyush Hazarika honoured and awarded ten best voluntary blood donor organizations of Assam. BVVBDF stood first among 217 donor organizations of Assam.
On behalf of the ‘Forum’, Dr Manoj Paul, Karunamoy Paul, Sudarshan Bhattacharjee, Barun Dasgupta, Shikta Paul, Sweta Roy, Ranjit Misra, Amal Das, Nirmalendu Paul, Subrata Kar, Ranadhish Paul, Sudip Roy, Sanchita Paul and Pankaj Paul attended the program and received the certificate and prize money cheque from the hon’ble minister.
Leaders of the forum dedicated this honour to the blood donors of Barak Valley and the tireless soldiers of the forum. They reiterated the commitment to aware, educate, encourage and motivate more and more people to donate blood voluntarily to ensure more safe blood for the treatment of the ailing population of the country.
Sister organization of BVVBDF, Dibrugarh Blood Donors Forum also bagged the seventh position in the state.
Terapanth Yuba Parishad, Assam and Marwari Yuva Manch, Assam secured the second and third position respectively.
