Silchar's Gairik Saha tops state MBBS, 3 others in top 10; "Credit goes to faculties, students," Babul Bezbaruah

A huge moment of pride for Barak Valley and Silchar Medical College and Hospital. Srimanta Shankardeva University of Health Sciences conducted 3rd Professional Part II MBBS examination results are out and Silchar Das Colony’s Gairik Saha topped it. 

Apart from Saha, Abhiraj Paul (6th), Prakash Yadav (7th) and Samujjwal Bhattacharjee (9th) from SMCH made it to the list of top 10 students in the State. All four students from SMCH are pursuing honours in Obsterics and Gynecology.

Gairik Saha is son of Gourango Chandra Saha and did his schooling in Silchar Kendriya Vidyalaya. His family as well as his faculties are very happy at this accomplishment.

Principal of Silchar Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Babul Bezbaruah in an exclusive conversation with Barak Bulletin said, “I am happy.” He added, “Credit goes to teachers and students.”

A total of 725 students had appeared in the examination out of which 571 managed to pass the same registering a pass percentage of 78.8%
