Hindu Chatra Sangha's rally to commemorate the sacrifices of 11 martyrs
Hindu Chatra Sangha, a students’ association had walked with placards in Silchar to commemorate the sacrifices of Bhasha Saheed Dibosh. While other years, plenty of such rallies walk throughout Barak Valley, this year due to the ongoing pandemic and the lockdown, there were hardly any.
“We from Hindu Chatra Sangha thought to restrict the Shahid Dibosh rally to a very small one considering the current situation we are going through,” says Subhasish Choudhury, spokesperson of the association.
He adds, “We strictly followed the norms of social distancing. We had to keep our senses open for the pandemic and also had this feeling to pay respect to our martyrs to the best of what we can. So, we balanced both the things and brought out this short rally.”
Choudhury believes, “Mother-tongue needs to be preserved and its heroes need to be paid the required respect as and when possible. Let’s resolute to defend our mother tongue and its people and also not to impose our language on others or let others impose their language on us.”
