In a huge one-time spike in Assam, 89 individuals tested COVID Postive. cases in Assam.

Health Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma informed on twitter, “89 new cases in Assam. 30 cases from Kamrup, 17 from Tinsukia, 14 from Guwahati, 14 from Dhubri, 10 from Cachar and 4 from Dhemaj.”

All the patients in Cachar recently returned from Pune and were placed under quarantine. 5 of them were in New Mayur Hotel, 3 in Goniala Madrassa, 1 in NATRIP and 1 in Model College Borkhola.

According to the received information, the 10 persons were-

3. MOQBUL HUSSAIN KADIN,39, Travel History – PUNE
4. SULTANA BEGAM KADIN, 35, Travel History – PUNE
5. SAHAJAHAN KADIN, 19, Travel History – PUNE
6. SADDAM HUSSAIN, 27, Travel History – PUNE
7. PARAM SINGH, 23, Travel History – PUNE
8. DILWAR HUSSAIN, 25, Travel History – PUNE
9. DANISH AHMED LASKAR, 11, Travel History – PUNE
10. SULTAN HUSSAIN, 24, Travel History – PUNE

With this, the total case at Assam crossed the 1000 mark. Total active cases at Assam now stands at 892.
