First Kolkata-Silchar flight post lockdown; 294 passengers to land on June 1

After two days of being deserted, flights will land again at Silchar on Monday, with increased count, according to the information received from sources.

Spicejet earlier cancelled its Guwahati – Silchar flight for Saturday and Sunday for unknown reason, which drew flak from many people, who on Twitter tagged the airline registering their anger.

With increased flight count from tomorrow, Silchar airport will also see semblance of normalcy as for first time, after the lockdown was imposed, flights from Kolkata will land in Silchar.

3 flights which are scheduled to reach tomorrow are-

Air India Kolkata Silchar flight, AI753, scheduled to reach at 7:00 hrs and after a halt of 2 hours will fly back at 9:00 hrs. It will also be the first Air India flight at Silchar airport after resumption of domestic aviation service.

Spicejet Kolkata Silchar flight, SG3218, is scheduled to arrive at 11:00 hrs and fly back at 11:30 hrs.

Spicejet Delhi-Guwahati-Silchar flight, SG 8152, expected to reach by 14:05 hours at Silchar and fly back by 14:35 hours.

Cachar ADC Summit Sattavan revealed to Barak Bulletin that around 100 passengers will be arriving by the first flight from Kolkata. The second flight will bring 68 passengers with it from the city of joy. The first flight from Silchar to Kolkata will board with 127 passengers while the second one will fly with 68 each passengers tomorrow.

Another aircraft from Delhi to Silchar via Gauhati will land with 126 passengers and take off for the capital with 129 via same route. The ADC clarified that the numbers are as of today evening and they could go up to decline depending on fresh bookiny or cancellataion.
