23 more individuals test COVID positive in Barak Valley; 12 from Cachar

23 new patients tested COVID positive in Barak Valley of which 12 are from Cachar, nine from Karimganj and two from Hailakandi.

Health Minister of Assam tweeted a few moments back stating, “30 air travellers, arrived from Kuwait. 12 Cachar, 10 Kamrup, 9 Karimganj, 7 Kokrajhar, 2 Hailakandi, 1 each from Barpeta/Nagaon/Jorhat.”

This takes the state’s total COVID positive cases to 1463, according to Himanta Biswa Sarma’s tweet. He stated that as of 9:00 PM the day’s total rose to 102 taking the active cases in the state up to 1179.
