Indigo to resume services in Silchar from June 13; Spicejet, Air India is already operational

18 days after the domestic flight resumed service in Silchar Airport, Indigo airlines are finally set to resume service in Silchar from June 13, official sources confirmed.

At present only two airlines are operating from Silchar airport- Air India (bi-weekly in Silchar-Kolkata sector) and Spicejet (daily in Silchar-Kolkata and Silchar-Guwahati sector).

Indigo will start service from June 13 only on the Silchar Kolkata route with A320 type aircraft. For now, it will be triweekly flight i.e. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Flight no. 6E472/932 has been scheduled to arrive at Silchar on 1300 hours and depart on 1335 hours.

The airline has started booking for the flight through its official website.

Union ministry of civil aviation allowed domestic flight resumption from May 23 with one third capacity utilization. The ministry also issued detailed guidelines for passengers, airlines, airport operators and other agencies involved in whole system.
