ABVP Silchar burns effigy of Xi Jinping calls for a boycott of Chinese goods

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s Silchar branch has staged a demonstration today against the president of China Xi Jinping. About 15 members of ABVP, gathered in front of Khudiram Bose’s statue in Silchar for the protest.

As many as 20 Indian Army bravehearts got martyred in a clash with China along the border in Ladakh. Effigy of Xi Jinping is being burnt all over the country.

After burning the effigy of the president of China, ABVP’s spokesperson said that they have demonstrated to protest the Chinese army’s attack on Indian soldiers.

Apart from that, the ABVP members have also appealed to the citizens to start replacing Chinese products with Indian alternatives. The spokesperson said there are several Chinese products that have become a part of our daily lives, “We must consciously try and avoid Chinese products and start replacing them as soon as we can,” said the spokesperson.
