Nine more test COVID positive in Barak Valley; two without travel history, one symptomatic

Officials in the Silchar Medical College and Hospital informed that nine individuals from Barak Valley have tested COVID positive so far.Out of them, 35-year-old Raja Sinha of Dudhpatil part-5 has influenza-like illness.

As per available information, Sinha went to see a local doctor with complaints of cough and cold and the doctor referred him to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for a COVID test. Sinha does not have any recent travel history.

Another patient without travel history is Srigouri, Badarpur’s 30-year-old Sanjib Sharma. His swab samples were collected under the Assam Targeted Surveillance Programme.

Apart from them, few inbound residents of Barak Valley also tested COVID positive today. Ratabari’s Mahbubur Rahman (34) from Mumbai, Didarkush, Motinagar’s Sahanaz Hussain (18) from Bangalore, Katigorah’s Joirul Islam (25)from Bangalore, Ghoniala’s Md Sakib (38) from Kolkata, Panibhora Malugram’s Bipul Nath (43) from Mumbai, Daily Bazar, Arunachal’s AnandChhetri (23) from Hyderabad and Meherpur’s Mustafiz Ahmed (21) from Hyderabad.
