Manabendra Dev Ray transferred, Bhanwar Lal Meena, IPS will be the new SP of Cachar

Cachar SP Manabendra Dev Ray has been transferred as the commandant of the 10th APBN Kahilipara. A latest order issued by the government states that Bhanwar Lal Meena, an IPS officer from the Assam cadre batch of 2013 will take over as the new SP of Cachar.

Before Cachar Bhanwar Lal Meena was the SP of Sadiya in Assam. He has held positions of DCP Guwahati West and worked at the special branch too.

On December 13, 2019, then Cachar SP Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta was transferred to Sonitpur and Karimganj SP, Manabendra Dev Ray replaced Mahanta as the new SP. Mahanta had replaced Rakesh Roushan in January 2019.

52-year-old Manabendra Dev Ray is an APS – batch 1995.
