DC Cachar urges security personnel to follow COVID-19 protocols to contain virus outbreak in armed forces
In view of increasing number of security personnel being afflicted with COVID-19, the Cachar district administration has urged them to follow all related protocols in letter and spirit to contain the disease.
Presiding over a meeting of the District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) at her office conference hall on Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli underscored the need of strictly adhering to the COVID-19 health safety protocols issued by the Government of Assam and Government of India by all the units of paramilitary and armed forces stationed in the district to prevent further spread of the disease amongst security personnel.
Law and order related issues and precautionary measures to be taken amid COVID-19 pandemic for the observance of Independence Day 2020 also figured prominently in the meeting. Superintendent of Police, Bhanwari Lal Meena, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Health, Rajib Roy, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sumit Sattawan Joint Director, Health Services, Dr. Sudip Jyoti Das and District Surveillance Officer, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed also attended the meeting.
