Cachar: 6 from SP Office, 1 from PI court among 105 to test positive for COVID19 on Monday
Cachar reported more than 100 COVID positive cases once again. The district health department informed that a lion share of them do not have any travel history. While briefing the press on the COVID situation, the spokesperson said that there is a significant rise in the number of symptomatic cases. Many pregnant ladies have also tested positive.
“It is clear that people are hiding their symptoms. We urge people to get themselves tested if they have cold, cough, or breathing problems. We feel people are not getting tested due to the fear of COVID block or isolation. We would like to make it clear, that COVID positive patients without symptoms are allowed to remain in home isolation so there is nothing to hide or be scared of,” said Suman Choudhury, Media Expert, District Health Department.
Meanwhile, Bishnupada Das (49), K Pratap Singh (38), Masum Ahmed Barbhuiya (35), Amit Choudhury (34), Shikta Senapati (49), Durgasekhar Choudhury (51) tested positive. All of them are employed in SP Office Silchar. PI Court’s Sarada Kanta Sinha (58) is also on the list of COVID positive patients.
In one of the four slots tested today, 14 residents of CHC Kalain tested positive.
Apart from them, there were Health Care workers, BSF Jawans, few with travel history from Pune, many other symptomatic and asymptomatic patients were in the list to test positive for COVID19
