Various arms of administration conducted inspection in Assam-Mizoram border for deployment of Central forces
A joint inspection of the border areas where Central Armed Police Forces will be deployed along the Assam-Mizoram inter state border was carried out by the civil and police administrations of Cachar on Thursday.
Disclosing this information, Circle Officer, Sonai, Sudeep Nath said the joint inspection was carried out by the civil and police administrations in the areas along the inter-state border where Central forces will be deployed soon.
Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli, DIG Southern Range, Dilip Kumar Dey, IGP, Dipak Kedia, SP, Bhanwar Lal Meena, Sunnydeo Choudhary, IFS Divisional Forest Officer, Cachar forest division, Silchar Suman Mohapatra, IFS Chief Conservator of Forest, Southern Assam Circle, Silchar Akash deep Baruah, IFS Chief Conservator of Forest, Lower Assam Zone, Guwahati and other senior officials of civil and police administrations made the joint inspection of the border areas.
It may be recalled that Chief Secretary, Assam, Jishnu Barua had disclosed to media persons at Silchar on Wednesday after a law and order review meeting with the district administrations of three districts of Barak Valley that Central forces would be deployed in a day or two along the Assam-Mizoram inter-state border to ease the border tension. The Chief Secretary exuded optimism that the deployment of Central forces would help to restore peace and tranquility on both sides of the border.
