"No strike tomorrow, if anybody tries to create disturbance, strict action will be taken": SP, Rakesh Roushan and DC, S Lakshmanan
Since last two days a local association “Cachar Pratibadi Mancha” is campaigning about a 12 hours strike tomorrow. Since then several rumors have been doing rounds in the district and people of all sectors started speculating. Well, the district administration has come out public to put end to all speculations. SP Rakesh Roushan in an official statement said, “One organisation namely Cachar Pratibadi Manch has given 12 hours bandh call of Cachar District tomorrow. But administration has not given any permission. Bandh is totally illegal and those who want to open their shops, ply their vehicle they can and nobody will be allowed to create disturbance.”
Roushan added, “If anybody will try to hamper normal law and order, police will take strict action.” He urged media to spread the news so that common people are not in any misconception.
While campaigning about the strike the morcha cadres mentioned in several occasions that the district administration is kept in the loop and is aware about the strike too. They even shared a copy of the letter they wrote to the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar District. S Lakshmanan too released a statement like SP, in the statement Lakshmanan wrote, “An organisation from Cachar had called for strike on 2nd April and with clear malafide intention had spread fake information) that their strike has permission from district administration. Already complaint in this regard has been made and police is taking it up in the appropriate manner.”
Lakshmanan added, “At this point of time we request your kind cooperation in exposing the fake news and also to spread the info that there will be no strike allowed as thousands of people will be affected by such activity including NRC. All govt offices and transportation facilities shall work as per normal schedule. Any violation of peace and tranquillity will be dealt as per law.”
