Hailakandi: 4 critically injured in a Cruiser-WagonR head on collision

In a sad turn of affairs today four passengers got critically injured in a head on collision between a WagonR and a Cruiser. Both the vehicles got brutally damaged due in the mishap.

Might because of the size and weight of the vehicle most of the Cruiser passengers are safe while few suffered mild injuries and as per sources they were released after initial checkups and fast-aids. The tragic incident occurred on Monday at 3 pm, five kilometres away from Hailakandi City near South Bauriyaghat Bricks Industry on NH 154. Due to the impact of the collision the WagonR fell about 40 feet away from the road. The cruiser too got damaged as it lost its control and rolled on the road. The commuters injured in the accident are identified as Misbaul Rahman Mazumder (40 years), Yahuwa Mazumder (42 years), Tazim Uddin Laskar (28 years) and Kanu Debnath (52 years). All of them were passengers of the Maruti variant.

From close sources we got to know that the condition of injured Misbaul Rahman Laskar is serious. He was initially admitted in Hailakandi S.K. Roy Civil Hospital and after a while was shifted to Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) for better treatment. Rest of the three injured were also moved to Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) considering the gravity of the situation.

Injured Misbaul Rahman and Yahuwa Mazumder are residents of Rongpur Part-6 (PS-Katlicherra). They had hired the WagonR from Silchar to reach their home but got seriously injured in their way back. Hope all of them get well soon.
