Police recovers businessman Partha Pratim Nath's naked dead body from a locked shop in Sonai

Under mysterious circumstances, businessman Partha Pratim Nath’s dead body has been recovered from his own shop located in Sonai Bazar.

Today morning, locals of the Sonai Bazar area came across a disturbing smell. Soon it was established that the smell is coming out of a shop located in the Bazar area. Local Police was informed, and the officials reached the spot and recovered the dead body after breaking the door of the store.

A local resident said that Partha Pratim Nath had a fight with his family members and since then he was staying at his shop. “The shop has two doors, one was locked from inside and the other was locked from outside,” informed the resident.

He added, “A few days back, his family members had lodged a missing complaint. Since the store is locked from outside, nobody thought there is someone living inside the store. Only after the locals encountered foul smell they realised something has gone wrong.”

The Police officials found his body lying naked on the floor. “Since one door is locked from inside and the other from outside, it is difficult to make an assumption now. Maybe he suffered a brain stroke. It is possible, he ate something intentionally. Prima facie, it does not look like a murder, however, these are all speculations and we will only get to know the cause of death after postmortem,” added the local resident.

The Police officer-in-charge of the investigation was not available for comment in the story.
