BJP declares names of Candidates: Dipayan Chakraborty from Silchar, Gautam Roy in Katigorah

In a Press Conference held in New Delhi, party’s general secretary Arun Singh, along with chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA chief Himanta Biswa Sarma, party’s state president Ranjit Dass and representative of AGP attended the conference.

Arun Singh briefed the press that in a meeting yesterday, the candidates were finalised. “BJP has decided to contest the elections in alliance with AGP.” He also added that the meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Minister Nitin Gadkari and was chaired by party president, JP Nadda.
