In pursuance of the directives of Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson, District Disaster Management Authority, Cachar, Assam University Silchar has issued a set of guidelines which includes the postponement of the examination.

Through a notice issued yesterday, the University informed offline activities of all Academic Departments of the University and affiliated Colleges of the District of Cachar shall remain closed from 28th April 2021 to 12th May 2021. “Online classes shall continue as notified,” stated the notice.

It also added, “TDC odd Semester examinations for the period 5th May 2021-12th May 2021 is postponed until further notice.” It is worth mentioning here that the students had protested demanding online or blended mode of examinations. How the University intends to conclude the ongoing odd semester examinations and conduct the final semester test in time remains to be seen.
