Education Minister Ranoj Pegu inspects institutions in Silchar; directs authorities to expedite the amalgamation of schools
State Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu has directed the education authorities to expedite the amalgamation of schools. In a meeting with the Principals of the colleges including Higher Education Institutions in Silchar on Thursday, he said that the state government was considering setting up a centralized recruitment board for recruitment in colleges.
The Education Minister visited the National Institute of Technology in Silchar and said that arrangements would be made for the construction of the boundary wall of the institute and covid vaccination for the students inside the campus. The Education Minister also informed that arrangements will be made to fill the vacant teaching posts of the Silchar Polytechnic after visiting there. Dipayan Chakraborty, MLA of Silchar, will visit the women’s college in Silchar and check the construction work of the college, said Dr Pegu.
After inspecting the AK Chanda Law College in Silchar, the Education Minister said that out of the nine law colleges to be set up by the state government, it will be looked into whether this college can be kept as per the policy rules or not. He also said that the unfinished work on the boundary wall and gate of the Borkhola Model Degree College would be completed soon.
School Inspector of Silchar Samina Yasmin Rahman of Silchar was there with Education Minister Dr Pegu during their visit to the higher education institutions in the district.
