Notorious motorcycle lifter nabbed in Patharkandi; 3 bikes recovered, toolbox seized

In a successful operation, the Patharkandi police have been able to apprehend notorious bike lifter Badrul Haque aka Badai, and also recovered three stolen bikes from his possession. 

He was nabbed from his residence at the North Keoti village in Patharkandi constituency on the night of August 10. Also, a toolbox containing a variety of equipment most probably used for stealing bikes was also recovered from the place.

According to the Superintendent of Police, Karimganj, Padmanabh Baruah, based on a tip-off source, the Patharkandi police appeared at Badrul Haque’s residence at North Keoti village in Patharkandi late on Tuesday night.

“Based on our intel, the Patharkandi police appeared unannounced at Badrul’s house on Tuesday night and raided his place. Upon thorough searching, 3 stolen bikes were recovered, and also a variety of equipment which was used for stealing bikes. He was immediately arrested and taken to the Patharkandi police custody”, said the SP of Karimganj.

Also, according to the SP Karimganj, a case (No. 460/21) has already been filed against Badrul Haque under Sections 413, 379 of the IPC.
