Pulsar gang active again in Silchar; Rs 3.90 lakh snatched from Sonai Road

Cash snatchers are back again in Silchar. Again they come riding on black Bajaj Pulsar and attack those who step out of the bank after withdrawing money. Like earlier, the do not fear broad daylight, Police or local residents.

Much like a déjà vu, two miscreants riding on a black Pulsar attacked a young man opposite Car World in Sonai Road. “I had sent an employee of my store to withdraw the cash deposited by a client from SBI Bazar Branch in Nazirpatty. He went there and was returning to the store with Rs 3,90,000 kept in a bagpack. A mobile phone was also kept in the bag,” informed Bablu Laskar, owner of the New Car World.

He added, “As the employee reached the store, two men riding on a black Bajaj Pulsar attacked him and snatched his bag. One tall and a short guy, both wearing helmets, rushed on the bike after snatching the bag.”

An FIR has been lodged in Rangirkhari Police Outpost and the officials said they are investigating the matter. However, the Police is yet to secure any arrest.

This is not the first time, cash was snatched in Silchar. Similar incidents were reported recently and many are suspecting a resurrection of the Bihar and West Bengal gang that was operating in Silchar.
