Cachar administration announces list of hotels available for paid quarantine

The Deputy Commissioner of Cachar who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Cachar in a meeting held on 13th January 2022 has identified eight hotels and lodges as “paid Quarantine facilities” in Cachar. In an order signed by the Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson of District Health Society, Cachar, has instructed all the international passengers as well as domestic passengers coming to Silchar from various states and countries via Airways, Railways and Roadways to opt those facilities to quarantine themselves until their RT-PCR Results are declared negative.

• The order has also informed that, “these facilities will be totally on paid mode by respective passengers and optional mode subject to non-opting Home Isolation”. The eight hotels are:

1. Sagarika Hotel

2. Sudakshina Hotel

3. Rudraksh Hotel

4. JC International

5. Geetanjali Hotel

6. Oishee Hotel

7. Tripura Lodge

8. Hotel Ellora

Three Nodal Officers, namely

Prodip Deb, JE, RMSA

Manoj Koiri, I/c. BEEO, Katigorah

Biswajit Deb, I/c. HEEO, Shalchapra,

have been appointed to look after all the matters of Paid Quarantine and report to DDMA, Cachar on daily basis. Shri Kishen Chorei, ACS, Assistant Commissioner of Cachar is the overall In-charge of this facility. This order was brought into immediate effect on 13th January 2022.
