NF Railway introduces two Summer Joyride trains - Darjeeling - Ghum, Agartala - Jammu Tawi

To ensure comfortable and enjoyable travel experience to the tourists during upcoming summer season, Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run two new Summer Special Joyride train services in Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) section. The joyride train services will run between Darjeeling and Ghum stations from 1st April to 30th June, 2022 for 91 trips. Moreover, another one way special train will run from Agartala to Jammu Tawi to clear extra rush of passengers.

Among the joyride services, train No. 02547 Darjeeling – Ghum- Darjeeling new summer special joyride will depart from Darjeeling at 11:35 hours to reach Ghum at 12:15 and will back to Darjeeling at 13:15 hours. Another train No. 02548 Darjeeling – Ghum- Darjeeling new summer special joyride will depart from Darjeeling at 13:45 hours to reach Ghum at 14:25 and will back to Darjeeling at 15:30 hours. These trains will have 4 first class chair car coaches each for the benefit of tourists.

The passenger flow increases in summer towards DHR section and it is a major attraction for tourists to have an experience of riding joyride services which is in UNESCO Wold Heritage site. It will be a unique experience for someone who plans to get rid of summer by visiting the DHR and take a joyride travel experience amid breath taking hilly landscape of the Himalayas.

Moreover, train No. 05602 Agartala – Jammu Tawi one way special train will run from Agartala on 29th March, 2022. The train will leave Agartala at 19:00 hours on Tuesday to reach Jammu Tawi at 10:00 hours on Friday. The details of timings and stoppages of this train are available in IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of N. F. Railway.
