Karimganj Police launches operation against thieves; Arrests 3, recovers gold, cash worth Rs 3.5 lakh

Responding to frequent complains, the Karimganj Police launched an operation to nab thieves operating in several parts of the town. The operation was led by Additional SP, Partha Pratim Das and accompanied by OC Karimganj Sadar and other senior officers.

35-year-old, Farhad Uddin, son of Abdul Mannan of Betail village, 31-year-old Junu Miya, Son of Abdul Jalil and Sad Uddin, son of Assadar Ali were arrested from the same village.

The Police informed that Rs 3.5 lakh cash, Gold Ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh, water motor, cable wires, among many other stolen goods were seized from their possession.

In another operation in Kaliganj area, a team under the leadership of Karimganj OC traced a stolen autorickshaw. The drive against the thieves will continue, informed the additional SP.
