
Assam University's Swapnaneel Sarkar secures seat at IISc Bangalore for Masters in Quantum Tech
Swapnaneel Sarkar, a final year student of Computer Science and Engineering of Triguna Sen School Of Technology, Assam University, has secured a much coveted opportunity of pursuing his Masters in Quantum Technology at the IISC, Bangalore.
It is worthy to mention that IISc, Bangalore features as the among 100 universities of the world. According to the prestigious QS world University rankings, IISc Bangalore features at the 96th position. It is also regarded as the best Research Institute in the entire country. Moreover, Swapnoneel has also managed to get a call letter from the equally prestigious IIT, Bombay too.
Swapnoneel is the son of Late Santosh Sarkar and Prof Madhumita Dhar Sarkar. Professor Madhumita Dhar Sarkar is presently serving as the HOD Of Department Of Law and Former Dean Of School Of Legal Studies. Professor Madhumita Dhar Sarkar, a well known academician of the legal field, has expressed contentment and joy over her son’s notable success. “As an academician, I expect to see Rup (Swapnoneel) as a renowned scientist in the realm of Quantum Technology. And as a mother, I expect him to remain a kind, caring and loving human being.”
Swapnaneel expressed his gratitude to his parents for his success. Over and above his academic pursuits, Swapnoneel, a die hard fan of Chelsea FC, takes great interest in Football. He has also served as the President of Assam University Rotaract Unit from 2019-2021. “To be interviewed by Professor Apoorva D Patel, a doyen of the realm of quantum technology, was a riveting and rewarding experience in itself. I am elated at the opportunity that has been bestowed upon me.”
