Former Katigorah MLA lodges FIR against former BJP Spokesperson Nupur Sharma

On June 14, 2022, former MLA of Katigorah Legislative Assembly, Cachar, Maulana Ataur Rahman Mazarbhuiya, filed an FIR against former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for her harsh comment on the Prophet Mohammad, few days back in a debate, which was aired on a certain TV News Channel.

The FIR mentions that the remarks made my Nupur Sharma were found deleterious and insulting to the entire Islamic Community of not just India, but of the whole world. It aggravated their religious sentiments.

The former MLA mentions in his FIR, “The abysmal comments on the (PBUH) Prophet Mohammad has not only insulted the followers of Islam in India but rest of the world. Such comments are unconstitutional.”

A cyclone of darkness has occured among the Islamic community after this comment.
The FIR henceforth demands the implementation of strict and immediate legal action against Nupur Sharma along with necessary investigations, to restore the peace and harmony of the nation.
