Boat capsizes in Chuto Dudpatil; One girl still missing

A village of Chuto Dudhpatil was crowded with anticipation this morning due to a devastating accident that befell three innocent girls. Three of them were good friends and had gone to fetch some water from the other side of the river on a boat. The boat reportedly belonged to the brother of one of the three girls, Sheela Rabi Das.

However, the trip turned out to be on a dark tide for the three girls. Suddenly, the boat flipped and drowned midway. Screams ran in the air and the localities rushed to the rescue. Two girls and the boater could be rescued, but unfortunately, Sheela couldn’t be found.

MLA Kishor Nath, on learning of the tragic accident , immediately rushed to the scene. He deployed both the NDRF and the SDRF teams to search for the girl.

The DC was also informed who also arrived at the scene. Investigations are still continuing for Sheela.
