Mysterious death of 13-year-old girl creates anxiety in Dholai's Islamabad, postmortem report awaited

A 13-year-old girl’s mysterious death has alarmed the villagers in Dholai’s Islamabad. The dead body of this teen was found from her home today, at around 9 in the morning. The reason behind this death is not yet known and there are many speculations among the villagers, which has created an anxious atmosphere in Islamabad.

This 13-year-old teen from Dholai was alone at her home when her mother went to a neighbour’s place to perform some puja rituals. Along with her mother, most of the women of the villager were also there at the neighbour’s home. Her father, who is an oil tanker driver was also not home. The girl who studied in class 7, didn’t go to school today.

When the mother returned home from the puja, she discovered the lifeless body of her daughter. She was muddled to see this scene and couldn’t figure out what had happened and she broke into tears. This news spread like wildfire in the whole area. Villagers gathered around to see what happened and police were also informed about the same.

Dholai Police Station’s officer in charge, Inspector Major Baruah rushed to the spot along with his force. Magistrate Bikash Chetri also came to take stock of the situation. In the magistrate’s presence, police recovered the body of the girl. The body was sent to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.

So far the reason behind her death was not found. Unless the postmortem report is received, the reason behind this death can not be stated, said Inspector Manoj Baruah.
