Another low scoring match in Super Division; India Club's fourth win in a row by defeating Oasis

Silchar District Sports Association’s low-scoring match in Super Division cricket continued on Tuesday after Monday. The best league team in the valley again failed to reach the hundred mark. Yesterday, strong team like Itkhola AC was all out after scoring 60 runs. Tribeni lost 7 wickets while chasing the runs. Today Club Oasis scored 93 runs against India Club in 19.5 overs. India Club won the match easily by six wickets.

Club Oasis decided to bat first after winning the toss in the morning. Itkhola made the same mistake yesterday. In fact, the pitch at Satindra Mohan Dev Stadium has become a headache for the teams. The pitch remains slightly damp in the morning. Batting is very difficult as the pitch stays wet due to fog. Pacers are getting good swing. Again, during the second innings the ball is not going in the direction of the bat and is behaving abnormally. In such a situation, the teams aren’t able to decide after whether to bat or bowl after winning the toss.

Like the first three matches, Oasis could not overcome their batting failure. Tapas Das scored 23 runs which is the highest for their team. Besides, Abhay Deb scored 19 runs and Suraj Kumar Yadav scored 17 runs for Oasis. Left handed spinner Avoy Kumar Yadav (4-30) took four wickets. Sourabh Kumar took three wickets and Dibakar Johori took two wickets.

In the second innings, India Club reached their target by losing four wickets in 15.1 overs. Manas Gogoi scored 30 in 36 balls and Anubhav Das remained unbeaten by scoring 30 runs in 21 balls. Besides, Raju Das scored 10 runs in 13 balls and Amit Yadav scored 10 runs in 13 balls. Saidul Barlaskar took two wickets. Avoy Kumar Yadav was adjudged as Man of the Match. With this loss, Club Oasis faced defeat in all four of the matches they played. On the other hand, India Club remained undefeated in the league.
