
Prohibitory order issued in Cachar district by DC to curb noise pollution during HS/HSLC exams
In view of the ongoing H.S.L.C./AHM and H.S. Examinations, 2023, the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Rohan Kumar Jha, has issued a prohibitory order to curb noise pollution caused by the playing of microphones in high pitch by various organisations/fairs/event organisers, etc. throughout the district, including the vicinity of examination centers.
The order prohibits the playing of microphones or any sound amplifying system by any organisation/NGO/organiser of various fairs/rallies/events, etc. throughout the district in general and within 100 meters radius of examination centers in particular without obtaining prior permission from concerned authorities for specific purposes and extreme exigency.
The Deputy Commissioner of Cachar has expressed apprehension of serious breach of public peace and considering the gravity of the situation the order has been passed ex-parte and will be enforceable with immediate effect and remain in force till completion of the examination process.
