Educational Qualification Issue : Sonai MLA attacks Aminul Haque Laskar and accuses him of corruption

Sonai assembly constituency became the centre of attention again as MLA Karim Uddin Barbhuiya (Saju) attacked former MLA Aminul Haque Laskar. The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed Aminul’s ongoing educational qualification case against Sonai MLA in the Gauhati High Court. Since then, explosive comments against Aminul have been coming out of MLA Saju’s mouth one after another. In a press conference held at Sonai on Friday afternoon, MLA Karim Uddin Barbhuiya said that the barrier of patience has broken after using derogatory language against former MLA Aminul Haque. He said that from now on, if his politeness is considered to be weakness then the consequences will be terrible. The MLA said that as a result of abuse of power, the police had to take out Aminul disguised in the attire of a girl wearing torn clothes after being thrashed by the people on polling day. Unable to bear the election loss, Aminul wanted to become an MLA by finding papers on the streets and filing a case in the court. But his dream will never be fulfilled.

Speaking to reporters MLA Saju said that Aminul abused the power in the area and oppressed the common people while he was the MLA. The words of that day are still floating among the people of Sonai. Aminul was a notoriously corrupt person when he was the MLA. He misappropriated funds starting from Panchayat raj to various other developmental works. MLA Saju informed that from now on, he will be active in the investigation of corruption of 85 crore rupees in addition to Sonai’s developmental activities. The Sonai MLA expressed his conviction that Aminul will also go to jail for corruption. Saju also emphatically called the ex-MLA a mean-spirited shameless person. The Sonai MLA said that he is filing a defamation case against Aminul for spreading lies against him in public after being ousted from power.

MLA Saju also vehemently attacked the Pradesh Congress President in response to a question raised at the press conference in the multipurpose hall. He said that an illegal love affair is going on between Bhupen Bora and Aminul Haque of BJP. Recently, Bhupen Bora came to Silchar and asked the party workers to get ready for the by-election in Sonai assembly constituency. In response to this, Sonai MLA called Bhupen as spokesperson of BJP and said that no one but an irresponsible person can comment on an ongoing court case. The MLA alleged that Bhupen Bora is active in giving Congress ticket to Aminul with huge sum of money in the upcoming elections. He also said that the public is aware of the guard of Chief Minister’s bedroom Bhupen Bora.

Sonai UDF Committee President Khalid Hasan Laskar, General Secretary Zakir Hossain Laskar, Diwar Jahan Laskar, Iqbal Majumdar, Anwarul Haque, Junu Babu Laskar, Noor Ahmad Barbhuiya, Rinku Laskar, Ansarul Haque Laskar and representatives of various Panchayats and more than 400 part workers were present at the press conference.

Sonai MLA Karim Uddin Barbhuiya was felicitated as soon as he stepped into Silchar Kumbhirgram airport from Delhi this morning. The party workers and supporters welcomed the MLA in Sonai with a huge car rally after giving a warm welcome to the MLA at the airport.
