Smuggler arrested in Silchar with Heroin worth 10 crore rupees

1 kg 400 grams of Heroin was seized in a joint operation by Karimganj and Cachar Police today. Based on a tip off, the Karimganj Police in collaboration with Cachar Police raided a house at Chengkuri Road, Silchar and seized 100 soap boxes containing huge quantity of Heroin in them. The Police also arrested a Karimganj man named Shahid Ahmed in connection with the incident. The market price of the seized Heroin is estimated to be around 10 crore rupees.
