28 No. New Pally Club sent a second letter to the Silchar District Sports Association making several serious allegations against club President Kisholoy Paul and Secretary Uttam Dutta. This includes explosive allegations of club memberships being sold for money. Before that, on June 10, the residents of Karimganj Road gave the first letter to Silchar DSA complaining against the President and Secretary of the club. In that letter, the people belonging to 28 No. Pally had claimed that the President and Secretary of the club sent the name of Ajay Roy to DSA who is not a resident of the neighbourhood nor member of the club so his name should be cancelled.

This time, in the second letter, the residents of Karimganj Road have brought more explosive allegations. The alleged in the letter that the President and Secretary sold the membership of the club to Ajay Roy for money. This letter has the signature of Abhijit Majumder, Assistant Secretary of 28 No. Pally Club.

Residents of the neighbourhood complained that the President Kisholoy Paul and Secretary Uttam Dutta have not called any meeting of 28 No. Pally Club since many years. In 2019, a person’s name was sent to Silchar District Sports Association’s BGM without calling any meeting. This caused a lot of controversy and Police got involved too. At that time the President and Secretary promised that the meeting of the club would be called soon. But no meeting has been called till date.

It is mentioned in the letter that the President and Secretary of 28 No. Palli Club have spent the money of the club for their own interests. They sold the membership of the club to Ajay Roy for money. The residents have demanded the intervention of the Silchar District Sports Association in this matter by lodging their complaint. Alongwith this, the demand to cancel the name of Ajay Roy has also been informed to the DSA authorities. A source from the club said that a written complaint will be sent to the MP and MLA of Silchar about the entire incident within a day or two.
