Cachar BJP's final decision for DSA Elections: It's Dipayan Chakraborty VS Babul Hore for President's chair

End of all speculations. MLA Dipayan Chakraborty is the candidate of the ruling party for the post of President in the upcoming BGM of Silchar District Sports Association while Bijendra Prasad Singh is the Secretary candidate. Today, in a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the names of Dipayan and Bijendra were sealed for their respective posts. The MLA of Silchar has been given the green signal for the post of President of Silchar District Sports Association in presence of senior party officials. However, the panel of the ruling party has not been finalised yet. Trouble still remains in two or three places. According to sources, the panel will be finalised within the next 24 hours.

The ruling party was advancing with the name of Bijendra for the post of Secretary. It was almost certain that the current Secretary was again going to be the Secretary candidate of the ruling party. All that was left was the party seal. Today that has also been done. The names for the post of President and Secretary were finalised in presence of party seniors in a meeting of about one and a half hours.

The main issue in the ruling lobby panel was over the post of the President. Speculations were rife that the MLA from Silchar was the frontrunner for the post of President. Finally, that speculation became true. Two days ago Barak Bulletin had reported about the possibility of Silchar MLA being selected as the Presidential candidate of the ruling party. That news turned out to be true. This means that once again the backdrop of 2019 has been created with Babul Hore vs Dipayan Chakraborty.

The current President Babal Hore has been campaigning for the past 8-10 days. It is known that Babul Hore started campaigning more vigorously as soon as the name of Silchar MLA was sealed as a candidate for the post of President of the ruling party today. Later in the evening he also held several meetings with the opposition party at two major clubs. All in all it can be said that the game is on!
