Dead body of a ten-year-old boy found at Silchar MP's Residence, Police launches investigation

In a shocking and heart-wrenching incident, the lifeless body of a ten-year-old child was discovered at the residence of Silchar MP Rajdeep Roy, situated at Radhamadhab Road. The young boy was found with a cloth hanging around his neck. The Police sent the child’s body to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for a comprehensive post mortem examination.

 

The deceased child’s mother was employed as a maid at the MP’s residence. She had been residing there for over two and a half years, and her children had subsequently joined her, enrolling themselves at a local school. The family originally hails from Dholai’s Panibhora region.

 

The maternal uncle of the deceased child spoke to reporters, expressing that they did not suspect any foul play in the tragic event. He maintained that, based on his understanding, the child had taken his own life.

 

However, the Police has launched an investigation into the incident for unearthing the truth based on the mystery surrounding the tragic demise of such a young boy. Cachar Additional SP Subrata Sen spoke to the Silchar MP and arrived at his residence for investigating the case. The MP refused to speak to the media and refrained from making any comment regarding the incident.

 

It maybe mentioned that a dead body was recovered from the VIP room of Silchar BJP office few days back which created a lot of controversy in social circles.
