Forlorned love: Husband's efforts to educate wife meet betrayal as she allegedly flees with paramour

In a distressing turn of events, a wife allegedly eloped with her paramour and child while abandoning the husband who took the initiative to make her educated. As per reports, Pikal Roy, the husband in question, married Lipika Ghatowar back in 2014. After getting hitched, Pikal supported Lipika’s educational and career aspirations, playing a pivotal role in her success as she recently cracked Assam PWD’s interview thereby securing a position as a fourth-grade employee.

However Lipika’s professional achievement quickly turned into a tragedy as she allegedly eloped on November 2, 2023, along with their 7-year-old child. The twist in the tale reveals an alleged extramarital relationship between Lipika and Soni Roy, a resident of Kalain Lakhipur who also happens to be an employee at Silchar Civil Hospital. Before this elopement, Pikal Roy, who has been residing in Bangalore for work since the last year, was contacted by Soni Roy’s wife claiming an illicit involvement between their spouses.

Taking legal action against this elopement, Pikal Roy filed a case in Silchar court. However, both the Gumrah Police Outpost and Kalain Police Station officials have reportedly refused to lodge an FIR, as stated in his application to the court, raising questions about the legal recourse available to the aggrieved husband
