Earlier this year, the DSA administration faced scrutiny following its announcement of the team lineup for the Under 19 inter-district tournament. The near-replacement of five captains amidst what appeared to be administrative chaos raised concerns regarding the association’s ability to navigate club rivalries for the collective benefit of district cricket. Ultimately, all five players were excluded from the tournament, highlighting the DSA’s struggle to harmonize club interests for the greater good of the sport. The current DSA regime came into power following elections in the summer of 2023.
