In an effort to safeguard the health of its residents, Cachar Police took a proactive step on January 2nd by conducting the second phase of BMI tests for their police personnel. Recognizing that “health is wealth,” this initiative aims to ensure the well-being of the officers serving in Cachar.

During this phase, police personnel hailing from Cachar, Karimganj, Hailakandi, and Dima Hasao actively participated, with hundreds undergoing the health assessment. The first phase had identified 37 personnel from Cachar who did not meet the required health standards.

The ongoing second phase, based in Silchar, includes the involvement of these 37 personnel who did not pass the initial test. The collective goal is to assess and improve the overall health status of the police force.

Expressing optimism about the current phase, SP Numal Mahatta conveyed hope for better results compared to the previous round. He emphasized the importance of regular exercise for the well-being of the personnel, believing that with dedicated efforts, positive outcomes can be achieved.

SP Numal Mahatta also commended the initiative taken by the Assam government and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He expressed confidence that the vision behind this health assessment initiative would be fulfilled, contributing to the overall welfare of the police force in Cachar. The commitment to the health and fitness of the officers reflects the understanding that a healthy police force is essential for ensuring the safety and security of the community.
